During a press conference in Delhi on Wednesday, Ranbir Kapoor said that there came a point in time when he began hiding from people that he is shooting for Brahmastra and instead said that he is working on two other films. Explaining why, the actor said, “Nobody really understood what it takes to make a film like this because nobody had really done this, especially in the people that we know.”

The buzz is that Brahmastra has been leaked online hours after its theatrical release. As per reports, Brahmastra' is leaked on sites like Tamilrockers, Movierulz, Filmyzilla, 123movies, Telegram, and torrent sites in HD. This development is truly shocking given that the Delhi High Court had recently restrained ‘rogue’ websites from unauthorized streaming of Ayan Mukerji’s magnus opus.

Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan also arrived for Brahmastra's screening. The actors were seen opting for stylish casuals as their OOTD. 

Today, Hrithik arrived for the special screening of the film Brahmastra in Mumbai along with his kids, Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

The much-awaited film of 2022, Brahmastra is finally out in the theatres. It is indeed a very special and big day for Ayan Mukerji, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor as their hard work has finally seen the light of the day. Since morning social media has been buzzing with praises for the movie and the stars. One thing that has raised the excitement levels of fans ever since this news came out was Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in the film. And now that most of the fans have already seen the film, Twitter has been filled with tweets of fans going gaga over King Khan and his role in the magnum opus. One of the major highlights of the film is Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo which fans had already come to know about. After watching the movie, several fans have taken to their Twitter handle to praise King Khan and after reading their tweets we bet you will get even more eager to watch the film if you haven’t already.

Last night, a special screening of Brahmastra was held, for which Ranbir and Alia were joined by their family members and industry friends. Now, post the screening, Shanaya Kapoor took to her Instagram to share a short review of the movie, and looks like she was mighty impressed with the film. 

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram account to share a poster of the film which reads, “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is now yours.” 

Sharing Brahmastra's poster, Ayan wrote: "With Love and Light…Gratitude for the Journey, and Hope for the Future…Our Entire Team, and I, proudly present our work in Cinemas today…! And with many different emotions, hand over the movie to its’ rightful owners - Our Audiences ! Brahmāstra - Part One: Shiva. Released This Day. 09.09.2022."

Shanaya Kapoor, who attended the screening of Brahmastra on Thursday reviewed Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's film. She wrote: "@ayan_mukerji thank you for creating this experience. History has been created. A world of its own."

The film has surpassed Rs. 20 crores advance sales of Sanju, making it the biggest advance for a Ranbir Kapoor starrer.  Depending on where the sales finalise, that will be the third or fourth highest ever advance for Bollywood in terms of nett sales. Based on these pre-sales, a Rs. 25 crores net plus the opening day is a certainty.  

Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva is a classic example of ambition meeting vision. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt live up to the characters of Shiva and Isha. Like a lot of things that work in combinations for Brahmastra, like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt or intention and innovation, action and visual effects too is one of the most solid amalgamations of this fantasy adventure movie. 

Pinkvilla exclusively reported that Brahmastra 2 will be about the story of two key characters - MahaDev and Parvati. "The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. In fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part," revealed a source.

Ranbir revealed what makes his Brahmastra character Shiva different from his other roles. "The personality of Shiva that I really admire and he says in the film that 'Jab bhi kuch andhera ho toh light ko dhundho' and it means that light uss roshni ka naam hai jo hum sabke andheron se badi hai. Aur aap kaha dhundte ho yeh light? Apni doston ki hassi mein, sadakon mein, canteen ki omelette pav mein, ek achi film mein, Alia mein. I think the philosophy of positivity in such hard times. There's a lot of negativity in the world. I think the search for positivity and light is something that Shiva does," he added.  

Mommy-to-be Alia Bhatt's promotional wardrobe for Brahmastra included all things trendy, quirky and chic.

Ranbir revealed that Ayan Mukerji has kept a lot of details about Brahmastra Part 2 hidden from him and Alia. "He thinks we are loudmouths and we're gonna go and tell everybody. We know what's going to happen in part 2 and part 3, what's gonna happen to our characters,” Ranbir told IMDb.  

Ranbir and Alia sat down for an interview in a special segment on IMDB. The Barfi actor said that Brahmastra is now a part of his and Alia's DNA. “Brahmāstra has been part of our DNA now. It’s been five years. Ayan, Alia, and me are also really close friends, so on every occasion in our lives, if it’s a birthday, if it’s Diwali, if it’s Christmas, if it’s our marriage, we were always talking about Brahmastra," he added.

Producer Karan Johar shared a BTS image of Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji and expressed his joy as Brahmastra has finally released n the cinemas.

Ahead of the release, Brahmastra's makers organised a special screening on Thursday, which was attended by Ranbir, Alia, Ayan, and others. Fans too were a part of this special screening. After the screening, fans rushed to social media to give their verdict. They even said that the Ayan Mukerji's film has 'created landmark moments in Indian cinema'.

Although he cannot take advance bookings seriously, Ranbir revealed that Alia Bhatt has been following the business aspect of their film quite closely. “The most excited is Alia now. She is a trade analyst now. She is noting everything, this much is open here, this is the response there,” he shared.
