RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU Athletics announced new gameday enhancements for fans coming to CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium during the 2022 football season on Monday. All six home games will feature pre-game and in-game pyrotechnics and each of EKU's four night games at home will highlight the LED light show that debuted last season. The hill will have newly painted stencils and new security fencing in the northeast corner of the stadium will provide a safer environment for all fans. A new Daktronics video board control system with an updated graphics package will enhance the in-game fan experience. The railings in the lower level of the stadium are freshly painted. EKU will be using a new DVSport 12-input instant replay system to provide additional camera angles for review situations. Signage throughout the stadium will recognize EKU's new partnership with CG Bank and will welcome fans to newly named CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium. All trash items collected during EKU's home opener against Charleston Southern for "Sustainability Day" on Sept. 17 will be professionally sorted and weighed to provide a full post-event report of the number of recyclables produced from the game. Three different food trucks will be featured within the Colonel Courtyard and the tailgate lots this season. DJ Tino Dollars wil be entertaining Courtyard guests during three different home games, along with three live music acts. Marketing tables with giveaways will be stationed inside the Kids Zone and the Courtyard. New gameday buttons featuring the dates and game themes of each game will also be available for fans to pick up in the Colonel Courtyard. All box seat holders will enjoy complimentary concession stand access this season, allowing for a more all-inclusive experience. Handheld wireless digital scanners will help fans enter the stadium faster and local businesses with corporate business packages will be featured on a running scroll on the video board during pregame and halftime. Matter of Pride boosters will be featured on the video board during every home game. Fans can donate to the Matter of Pride Booster Club here. All game day information can be found here. EKU hosts Charleston Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 17. The game will feature the Extra Yard for Teachers initiative through the College Football Playoff Foundation.
