Hulu’s Hellraiser, a reimagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic from director David Bruckner, will debut in the U.S. exclusively on Hulu on October 7 as part of the streamer’s annual “Huluween” celebration of fright-filled content. Watch Hulu’s Hellraiser trailer below!

Along with the trailer, you’ll find a series of still images and official poster art.

The trailer begins with the iconic Puzzle Box being solved, unleashing Pinhead (Jamie Clayton) and a whole new army of Cenobites. The return of the Chatterer is also glimpsed in this first official trailer from Hulu, which teases the following fresh storyline for the franchise…

In the new Hellraiser movie from Hulu, “A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.”

Greater delights await. Let us know what you think of Hulu’s Hellraiser trailer below…

David Bruckner (The Night House), who helmed Netflix’s The Ritual as well as sections of Bloody Disgusting’s horror anthologies V/H/S and Southbound, is directing the relaunch of the Hellraiser franchise for Spyglass Media, set to be a Hulu feature film written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (SiREN, Super Dark Times, The Night House).

Hulu’s Hellraiser has been rated “R” for some very Hellraiser Things, including…

“Strong bloody horror violence and gore, language throughout, some sexual content, and brief graphic nudity.”

The project is being described as a “loyal, yet evolved re-imagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic,” and the best possible news is that Clive Barker is on board as a producer.

The ensemble cast includes Odessa A’zion (“Fam,” “Grand Army”), Adam Faison (“Everything’s Gonna Be Okay,” “Yes Day”), Drew Starkey (“Outer Banks,” “The Devil All the Time”), Brandon Flynn (“Ratched,” “13 Reasons Why”), Aoife Hinds (“The Long Call,” “Normal People”), Jason Liles (“Stereoscope,” “Rampage”), Yinka Olorunnife (“The Transporter”), Selina Lo (“Boss Level,” “Q8 Unleashed”), Zachary Hing (“Halo”), Kit Clarke (“Leonardo”), with Goran Visnjic (“The Boys,” “Timeless”) and Hiam Abbass (“Succession,” “Blade Runner 2049”).

The next installment of The Conjuring Universe is set to be The Nun 2, with Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) taking over as director. Bonnie Aarons will be back, again playing the demon known as Valak, and tonight THR reports that Storm Reid (“Euphoria”) has been set to lead the cast of the upcoming sequel.

The Nun 2 will arrive in theaters on September 8, 2023.

Here’s the first The Nun 2 plot synopsis: “1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit THE NUN follows SISTER IRENE as she once again comes face to face with the demonic force VALAK – THE DEMON NUN.”

The first movie back in 2018 was set in 1952 Romania, so the sequel will be picking up just four years later. Sister Irene is the character played by Taissa Farmiga in The Nun.

Back in 2018, The Nun scared up a whopping $365 million at the worldwide box office, all but ensuring that we hadn’t seen the last of the demonic nun known as Valak.

Last we heard, Akela Cooper (Malignant) will be writing The Nun 2.

In Corin Hardy’s The Nun, “A priest with a haunted past and a novice on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.”
