Aside from offering a chance to learn about Qatar’s rich culture and history through its exhibits, the National Museum of Qatar’s stunning and unique architecture provides a beautiful backdrop for your photos!
Inspired by the desert rose, which are crystalized rocks formed in the desert, the museum's design is captivating. There is an outdoor square in the center of the museum that offers different views and angles of the museum’s structure.
Does your feed need a pop of colour? Head to Box Park Doha and pose in front of the many recycled and redesigned container boxes turned into retail and dining stalls.
Look for the big yellow smiley warehouse for a cute background for your photo!

The entryway of the Museum of Islamic Art is gorgeous with the line of trees and the fountain in the middle. Make your way to the bridge with arches on the right side of the museum for a great shot of the skyline framed by the arches.
Note: The Museum of Islamic Art is currently closed. However, the outside area and park are accessible to the public.
The busy Souq Waqif is the destination to check out if you're looking for traditional Arabian culture. Explore the tight streets and alleys of Middle Eastern architecture, shops selling textiles, and a wide variety of restaurants, artifacts and souvenirs.
It's an ideal venue to get shots in a traditional local setting!
Msheireb Downton Doha’s modern architecture makes a great venue for a great photo-op. Every corner of the area gives off a contemporary, urban, minimalistic feel. Explore the winding streets and spot a few hidden art installations and murals.
Aside from the Doha Corniche’s views of the city skyline and traditional dhows, look for the Umbrella Park for a domed backdrop of greenery and colourful umbrellas. The Umbrella Park is adjacent to the Corniche Metro Station (Red Line).
The Hotel Park Doha is located in West Bay. It is home to beautiful gardens, food kiosks, fountains, mazes of greenery and kids' play areas. Look for the hills as your photo-op location- it offers a picturesque backdrop of the Doha skyline without the view of crowds because of the elevated location.
Katara Cultural Village has multiple Instagram-worthy spots! Check out Katara Beach for a summer-vibe shot, the Katara Hills for an aerial view, the Katara Amphitheater for an ancient Roman coliseum setting, or look for the Gold Mosque for a stunning shot.
Qatar’s man-made island, The Pearl-Qatar is known for its European-style structures, Venetian rivers that spread all over the area, and its dock of yachts. Explore the streets of Qanat Quartier and look for one of the bridges as the perfect spot for your photos.
Transport yourself to Europe at Place Vendôme’s incredible architectural design. Explore the grounds of the beautiful outdoor venue and wait for the dancing fountains show that happens every day from 7 pm - 11 pm. Inside you'll find equally stunning interiors, high ceilings, and even glass domes. Make your way to the many balconies on the higher floors of the mall for a great photo without the crowd.
The Qatar National Library offers a fresh modern twist with its interior and rows upon rows of lighted bookshelves. There are also comfy bean bags and couches to lounge in while you enjoy your books. The venue has floor-to-ceiling windows that let in beautiful natural light that is perfect for photos.
Qatar’s natural wonder, the Inland Sea, is a view one shouldn't miss. It is where the desert meets the sea. The picturesque views are best seen at sunrise or sunset, making it the ideal camping spot.
Another of Qatar’s natural wonders is the lush mangroves reserve on Purple Island. Here you can be one with nature. A beautiful bridge perfectly showcases the mangrove greenery and makes a great photo-op spot.
Take it to the next level and rent a kayak. Snap a photo while you’re rowing through the mangroves for an awesome shot.
Everyone loves the giant yellow teddy at the center of the Hamad International Airport. It’s a must to snap a quick photo when travelling in Qatar!
